Julie
I have been interested in health and nutrition for twelve years, after my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 1996. I started out on the Macrobiotic eating system, which focuses on whole, natural foods and lots of vegetables. Since then, I have been collecting the best recipes, resources, supplies and techniques for eating healthy.
I received training to practice Health Counseling at the Institute for
Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school that integrates the wide spectrum of dietary theories. It combines traditional philosophies with modern scientific concepts. I am a certified Holistic Health Counselor by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
With my kids, Isaac and Anika, I have found some really good recipes and systems for helping kids eat healthy. I am excited to share them with you as we update this blog!
