JulieI have been interested in health and nutrition for twelve years, after my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 1996.  I started out on the Macrobiotic eating system, which focuses on whole, natural foods and lots of vegetables.  Since then, I have been collecting the best recipes, resources, supplies and techniques for eating healthy.

I received training to practice Health Counseling at the Institute for julie-hundleyIntegrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school that integrates the wide spectrum of dietary theories.  It combines traditional philosophies with modern scientific concepts. I am a certified Holistic Health Counselor by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.

With my kids, Isaac and Anika, I have found some really good recipes and systems for helping kids eat healthy.  I am excited to share them with you as we update this blog!
